Mumbai Tech Week 2025: Asia’s Largest AI Event Returns to Showcase Innovation, Investment, and Industry Growth

Tech Entrepreneurs Associations of Mumbai is hosting the Mumbai Tech Week 2025. The much-awaited second edition of the Asia’s largest AI event will be held at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, Mumbai. The event plans to showcase MumbAI as a city where AI intersects with industry, civil society, arts and media at unprecedented scale. The event features founders building global AI companies, leaders scaling solutions, and policymakers shaping the national AI framework.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, in Mumbai Tech Week 2025, outlined the significance of AI in every sector, including science, infrastructure, and agriculture. Fandavis mentioned that AI is the way forward, we want to integrate AI in agriculture for sustainability and technology solutions. He also added that the state government had introduced a flurry of initiatives beginning with the collaboration with Tech Entrepreneurs Associations of Mumbai (TEAM). It has decided to set up an entrepreneurial museum. The state government also signed an MoU with Meta to integrate AI into governance.

TEAM also announced the launch of TEAM Angels, an investment collective or repository for capital, mentorship and access to industry networks to support Mumbai’s most promising early-stage startups.

The NLB Services were instrumental in collating a job fair where several India’s leading technology companies will participate promising over 200+ job opportunities in domains such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Blockchain, Data Science, and Full Stack Development through recruiters from 70 leading tech companies like National Payments Corporation of India, Shaadi.com, Dream11, Quantiphi, Pepperfry, The Souled Store.

TEAM along with McKinsey & Company launched the ‘Mumbai AI 2035’ a roadmap. Mumbai, home to 39 of Nifty 100 companies, 8 of the biggest Media and Entertainment companies, 6 biggest Indian banks, 5 of the biggest FMCG companies, 4 of the biggest Pharma companies, will have 100+ unicorns by 2035. In 2024, the companies based out of Mumbai have spent $500M on AI. The city is home to India’s leading academic institutions, such as IIT Bombay, ICT Mumbai, VJTI, etc., and a hub for academia and industry partnership, such as the Digital Manufacturing and Supply Chain Center, the Energy Transition Innovation Center holds the potential to become a hub of AI adoption and profitable innovation.
