India is currently experiencing a period of demographic dividend. The population of working-age people is more than that of the dependent population i.e., children and elderly. This puts the country in an advantageous position. But this advantage is a fleeting one, by 2061 the share of the elderly population will grow.
However, even though the population is young there are concerns about the lack of necessary skills and education to fully capitalize on the advantage. According to a report by the firm HirePro 70% of academic institutions believe that their graduates are well equipped with the corporate world, but only 16% of the companies surveyed believe that educated youth are employable.
Bengaluru-based Corizo EduTech Pvt. Ltd. has fast-tracked itself as a transformative player in the education technology space, responding to the growing industry-relevant skills demand. Corizo onboarded over 70,000 students in 2023 alone and strives to support a total upward of 500,000 in the following years. From career guidance to internships, the startup seeks to bridge the chasm between academic curricula and the labour market.
Bridging Education and Employability
Corporate firms often question the job readiness of college graduates, with only 16% finding them adequately prepared for the workplace, according to a HirePro report. Recognizing this disconnect, Corizo Edutech focuses on equipping students and professionals with practical, job-ready skills. Himanshu Singh, Co-founder and CMO, explains, “Formal education provides a foundation, but it isn’t practical or industry-oriented enough to make students truly job-ready. Corizo is here to fill that gap.”
Corizo offers a suite of upskilling courses across disciplines such as computer science, data science, digital marketing, management, and emerging technologies like AI, robotics, and drone engineering. These courses are available in three flexible formats—self-paced, mentor-led, and professional—designed to suit diverse learning needs and schedules.
Comprehensive Learning Experiences
The platform’s Learning Management System (LMS) allows students lifetime access to updated course materials, assignments, quizzes, and interactive mentorship opportunities. Through partnerships with leading organizations like ISRO, Infosys, and Deloitte, Corizo ensures students gain hands-on experience and industry exposure. Courses are affordably priced, ranging from ₹4,000 to ₹25,000, with a Golden Pass option offering unlimited access for ₹11,999.
Industry Collaborations and Certification
Corizo’s courses are strengthened through collaborations with companies like Brakes India, Cyberensis Infosec, and Drona Aviation, providing mentorship, internships, and practical learning kits. Certifications, issued in collaboration with Wipro Dice ID, enhance the credibility of students’ qualifications. A standout offering is its drone engineering course, which combines theoretical and hands-on learning, making it a bestseller with over 350 enrolments since its launch in July 2024.
Leadership and Vision
Corizo’s leadership team—Co-founders Sourav Kamboj (CEO), Vivek Agarwal (COO), Himanshu Singh (CMO), and Hemant Ingle (CPO)—has driven its mission of empowering students through innovation and collaboration. “Our goal is to create a comprehensive ecosystem where education evolves with industry trends,” Singh adds.
Future Plans
Having clocked ₹7 crore in revenue for FY24, Corizo aims to double its earnings in FY25 and expand into new markets like Hyderabad and Kochi. The startup also plans to diversify into higher-degree programs and exam preparation, further cementing its position as a leader in the upskilling space.
With India’s edtech market projected to grow to $29 billion by 2030, Corizo Edutech is well-positioned to capitalize on the demand for career-focused learning solutions, delivering a blend of affordability, innovation, and impact.
