The Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) of the Ministry of Commerce unveiled the application ‘Bharat Startup Knowledge Registry’ (BHASKAR) to connect ecosystems. The Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal on Monday announced the platform which is designed to ‘centralize, streamline and enhance’ collaboration among the startup ecosystems.
The platform will foster effective communication and exchange of knowledge and information within the entrepreneurial ecosystem including startups, investors, mentors, service providers and regulatory government bodies. DPIIT recognizes 1,46,000 startups across India.

Every stakeholder will have a unique BHASKAR ID, to enhance individual experience, creating a niche and personalized interaction.

The platform will have a powerful search engine, to easily find collaborators, relevant resources and opportunities.

Bhaskar will serve as a vehicle for promoting India’s global reputation as a hub for innovation, making the international network accessible to startups and investors.
