Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) inaugurated MSME Seva Parv 2025, "Virasat se Vikas," on September 28-30 at Rudraksh International Cooperation & Convention Centre in Varanasi in the Uttar Pradesh state. Around 1,500 scheme beneficiaries along with government officials and business leaders attended an interactive session on "service, cultural pride, and heritage-based entrepreneurship."
Cultivating Heritage and Innovation
The Parv was chaired by Union Minister Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, while Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, Minister of State for MSME, was Guest of Honour. They showcased integration of tradition and innovation in MSMEs in the presence of dignitaries from KVIC, government of Uttar Pradesh, and local authorities. PM Vishwakarma, Khadi and Gramodyog Yojana, Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), and National SC/ST Hub were some of the important schemes cited.
Empowering Micro-Entrepreneurs
• September 28-30 saw the website offer product exhibitions of local handicrafters, SHGs, and MSMEs as well as live sales and marketing support seminars. Namo Ghat commemorated Swachhata Karyakram through community events as well as awareness campaigns that emphasized mutual service.
• On the day, KVIC and NSIC signed a marketing MoU, PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries were given loan certificates, margin money to PMEGP beneficiaries, and toolkits to artisans.
Focus on Gender and Social Integration
Special sessions focused on the issues and progress of women entrepreneurs and Self-Help Groups (SHGs), encouraging direct communication with government officials. Over 1.5 lakh SC/ST enterprises have benefited from focused outreach, skilling, and procurement opportunities through the National SC-ST Hub, resulting in a 36-fold increase in MSE purchases by SC/ST groups.
Exceptional Contributions
• PM Vishwakarma Scheme that was initiated in 2023 to Upgrade 18 traditional occupations has already enrolled 30 lakh workers of whom 23 lakh have been provided skill training and 8.33 lakh toolkits have been distributed to their doorsteps.
• Khadi and Village Industries saw 47% output growth and 41% sales augmentation in 3 years, resulting in better rural livelihoods and an increasingly self-sufficient India.
• PMEGP gave subsidies of ₹28,533 crore and generated 86.5 lakh jobs in a rapid development of jobs in cities and towns.
